Mid-level Providers

Gastroenterology Associates also offers experienced mid-level providers who provide gastroenterological care. A mid-level provider is an individual with advanced nursing or medical training who has varying levels of physician collaboration or supervision. Our mid-level providers include Nurse Practitioners and a Physician Assistant.

Melanie Nutter, RN, MSN, C-ANP

Melanie Nutter, RN, MSN, C-ANP

Melanie received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from the University of Southeastern Louisiana, Hammond, Louisiana. She is a board certified nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has been with the practice since 2003.

Kelly L. Huddleston MS, PA-C

Kelly received her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, Arkansas. She received her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Our Lady of the Lake College, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is a board certified physician assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. She has been with the practice since 2008.

Brittany Mothersbaugh received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Centenary College of Louisiana, Shreveport, Louisiana. She received her Master of Medical Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Our Lady of the Lake College, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Brittany is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. Brittany joined the practice in August 2011.

Regan Baker received her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Regan is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. Regan joined the practice in October 2011.
