Making Colon Cancer Screening Easy for You

Colon cancer is well over 90% preventable through timely screenings, yet less than half of Americans over the age of 50 have ever been tested.  Through our Open Access Clinic (OAC), patients are able to come in for a free evaluation, followed by easy scheduling for a screening colonoscopy, if warranted.  This free visit may rule out the need for a pre-op visit, which is often not covered under medical plans.

Who is eligible?

Open Access Clinic does not require a physician’s referral, but eligible patients should meet the following criteria:

• Must be 50 years of age or have a family history of colon cancer or colon polyps
• Must be in general good health
• No previous colonoscopy or 5-7 years since last colonoscopy
• If medical problems are detected during this screening visit, patients will be scheduled for an evaluation by one of our physicians
